Captured Moment

‘The more often you share what you’ve learned, the stronger that information will become in your memory.’

> To get the most from this activity, remember these guidelines

Think of a time when you have felt fulfilled or satisfied in your work, however you choose to define that. Focus on one particular experience which captured that feeling, and imagine yourself back there. It might help to close your eyes. Now describe what was going on in that moment. Write for 5 minutes in the present tense, as though it’s happening now, and include as much physical detail as you can: sights, sounds, smells, tastes, sensations.

Look back over your writing. What do you notice? Why do you think the moment you chose was so enjoyable or satisfying? Write for 1 minute.

List three things you could do to help achieve that feeling of enjoyment or satisfaction more regularly.

Take a few deep breaths and stretch your body. Then put your list somewhere that you will see it later.
