Consider a change that you are facing in your work life at the moment.
Write a list of 5 things you already know about the change.
Write a list of 5 things you would like to know about the change.
Look back over your lists. What do you notice about them? Circle the items which you feel more comfortable with. Underline the items which you feel less comfortable with.
Now, choose one item that you would like to explore further. Reflect on that item and write for at least 3 minutes about any thoughts, feelings, questions or ideas that come to mind.
Read back over your words. Then think about an action you can take in the next day or two that will help you to find out more about the item or to feel more comfortable with it. Write out your action in the form of a sentence beginning with the phrase “I will…”
When you have finished, take a few deep breaths and stretch your body.
